9:10am-9:45am | Context: Access to safe, stable, and affordable housing is a challenge faced by communities across Georgia. This session will provide an overview of the affordable housing crisis across the state and how it is connected to other challenges faced by Georgia communities.
9:45am-10:45am | Place: As communities across Georgia address their housing needs, the context of place impacts the design and execution of interventions. Panelists will share their experiences in promoting safe, stable, and affordable housing in light of the unique characteristics of their respective locales.

11:00am-12:00pm | Policy: Speakers will discuss how public policy drives system change related to housing. State policy can enable solutions such as land banks to unlock the hidden potential of vacant and problem properties and return them to productive use but can also create barriers to optimizing land use and maximizing affordability. This panel will share their experience in advocating for and creating equitable public policy that supports affordable housing.

1:00pm-2:00pm | Production & Preservation: This session will explore various strategies for the production and preservation of affordable housing through aligning and leveraging capital (public, private, philanthropic, and impact investments). Speakers will address the importance of collaborative solutions to maximize impact.
2:00pm-2:55pm | Programs: In addition to ensuring an adequate supply of units, equitable access to affordable housing requires dedicated programming to serve people and families. These programs include place-based afterschool programs, emergency rental assistance, and home maintenance and repair assistance. Panelists will share innovative approaches being deployed across the state.
